Yes, I’ve got one of those long double barrelled surnames, the type where people do not know whether to file you under L or B and it often creates a bit of confusion. I can thank my grandparents and my UK background for that. In England, which is where I grew up, double surnames are not uncommon. It has also been the birthplace of some of the great music of the later part of the 20th century and a prime staging ground for a lot of celebrity performers from all parts of the world. I grew up with guitar music and have loved it in all its forms from the Beatles, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, and Joni Mitchell to Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix and Carlos Santana. I’m also passionate about Spanish flamenco and classical guitar and I bought my first acoustic instrument inspired by the music of Julian Bream and John Williams. It’s hard to say I favour one style over another though, they all have their place and serve your mood at different times.

fingers can get calloused because I'm so excited. I plan on using my new skills to join my church band hopefully in just a month or two (at the pace this program allows me to go). I only wish that I had bought the Jamorama course sooner. I can only say excellent job to the crew because I was not disappointed when I downloaded this course. The video's are of a real player, not a cartoon picture of a fret board with a funky sound. The books are easy to read and the bonus extras I can't say enough of. Maybe music wasn’t my talent but it was certainly my love. Like an untutored golfer, my guitar playing for years was more like a “duffer” than a “golfer.” Even good, new equipment helped little, and I couldn’t seem to get past the “humps” in my learning.
